Wednesday Word Hug

  1. this is so true. recently reconnected with an old high school friend. Filled her in on what has been going on with me. Out of the blue she sends me a box of sage, cedar, smudge stuff, a necklace she made herself, coopers hawk feather. I opened the package and it smelled amazing, like a forest and I felt calm wash over me for a moment. She's been apprenticing as a native healer for 20 years. This woman has been through hell. And she turns around and sends this beautiful, healing gift to me. We talked about how working to heal others helps heal us too. I've found that here and with my volunteer work with veterans. It helps feel like the suffering meant something or has been converted to something better. It has to mean something. Turning it into caring for others has helped me so much.

  2. I agreed on this especially to all the survivor here. We provide support to each other virtually and we knew that we are not alone. There's always bunch of people here that back us up whenever we fell.

    Hugs
